THE PRA MISSION
The Plastic Reduction Alliance (also referred to as PRA) is a non-profit organization committed to working on the plastic waste problem and highlighting the latest research on plastics. We look to develop partnerships, programs and events that will promote cleaner and healthier communities, mainly through reductions in plastic and promotions of safer materials.

COMBATTING THE PLASTIC CRISIS
The United Nations describes plastic waste as one part of the triple planetary threat facing future generations. Today, there are still very limited options for dealing with unwanted plastic materials once it is produced. At the same time, production has accelerated rapidly—half of all plastic ever made has been manufactured in just the past 20 years. We do not need this level of plastic consumption, and it is already harming both our environment and our health. It’s time to rethink our reliance on plastic and take meaningful action to reduce it.
