The Plastic Reduction Alliance visited the Lake Michigan shoreline in Gary, Indiana to explore local efforts to better understand and address plastic pollution. Along the beach, the team documented plastic debris—including microplastics and industrial pellets (nurdles)—highlighting both the scale of the issue and the importance of continued action. This ongoing work supports efforts to reduce plastic at the source and protect Indiana’s waterways.
