Join the Plastic Reduction Alliance on a campaign to reduce plastic bag usage and other single use plastics!
Together we CAN make an impact and move towards a sustainable future.
The Plastic Reduction Alliance’s encourages Indiana communities and individuals to talk with their elected officials to overturn laws that disable local governments from banning single use plastic.
Indiana’s law, H.B.1053, went into effect in 2016 and continues to support plastics over people. The Plastic Reduction Alliance supports legally binding initiatives that ban single use plastics, beginning with the repeal of H.B.1053 in Indiana. Studies show that single use plastic bans are successful for reducing plastic pollution.
Join us for science and service along the Lake Michigan shoreline in Gary to collect, analyze, and quantify plastic pollution at Marquette Beach.
This 3-year project aims to help us understand the extent and damaging impact of plastic waste, while stewarding and reviving our Marquette Beach pathways.
